Doosan Infracore Wins Series of Large Construction Equipment Deals in Emerging Markets

Doosan Infracore has contracted with the company to supply a total of 40 construction machines including six DX500LCA, midsize excavators and wheel loaders.

Doosan Infracore has continued to land large construction equipment sales contracts in emerging markets such as Myanmar, Qatar and Singapore.

Doosan Infracore has recently won a supply contract for 40 construction machines including six 50-ton class large excavators from a Myanmar gold mining company. The firm in possession of 35 construction machines decided to purchase an additional 40 construction machines from Doosan Infracore to use them in their new huge gold mine.

An official of Doosan Infracore was quoted as saying, "On top of the competitiveness of our company's products, the competitiveness of our local dealer's after-sales service was highly evaluated." He went on to say, "Through the contract, we will further step up our market position in the Myanmar construction equipment market." Doosan Infracore made inroads into the Myanmar construction equipment market in 2010.

Doosan Infracore signed a supply contract for 30 large wheel loaders with the company in Qatar at the end of November 2016 through an open bid, which is particularly meaningful in that the company defeated its global competitors and succeeded in landing the contract when the Middle East offered hardly any large contracts due to protracted low oil prices.

In June 2016, Doosan Infracore executed a contract to supply 33 excavators to be used for airport expansion and subway construction in Singapore.

Doosan Infracore has sold more than 400 excavators in emerging economies through high-volume contracts alone in 2016. "The larger a sales contract gets, the higher the customer loyalty tends to rise," said an official of Doosan Infracore. "The company expects its profitability to improve through the high-volume sales of heavy equipment and associated parts business among others."
