Doosan Infracore hosted its largest ever product exhibition at the “Korea International Construction Equipment Exhibition 2012,” which took place at the KINTEX exhibition center in Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, from September 19–22.
The biennial exhibition brought together 196 companies from 17 countries. Doosan Infracore installed an exhibition booth measuring 1,350 sq. meters, the largest in scale among the participating companies at the event, and set up five zones, including the New Model Zone, Tech Zone, and Simulation Zone.
Doosan Infracore displayed a total of 30 construction machinery products, including four new models comprised of one excavator and three wheel loaders, small-sized construction tools from Bobcat, and diesel engines, demonstrating its stature as a global construction machinery producer. The Company also opened an experience-focused booth, where visitors can virtually operate Doosan Infracore’s construction machinery, including wheel loaders, and articulated dump trucks through a simulation system.
The DL-3 series, a new wheel loader series that was unveiled in Korea at the exhibition, drew keen attention in the industry as a product that meets the ‘Tier-4 Interim,’ a toughened emissions standard. The series boasts improved fuel efficiency of 20 to 30 percent and durability that has increased by 60 percent from its previous models.
A Doosan Infracore source said, “By displaying eco-friendly products meeting and exceeding the toughened emission regulations, and futuristic concept construction tools, the Company showcased the direction of development for next-generation construction machinery.”
