Doosan Infracore will construct a testing site for construction equipment in Boryeong City, South Chungcheong Province, by 2016.
Doosan Infracore(CEO Yongsung Kim) signed a memorandum of understanding on the construction of a testing center for construction equipment at Doosan Tower in Euljiro 6-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul, on September 4. In attendance at the ceremony were Mayor Shi-woo Lee of Boryeong City, Dong-yeon Sohn, chief of the corporate R&D division, and other officials from Doosan Infracore.
The construction equipment testing center will be constructed in phases by 2016 on 330,000 sq. meter site in Boryeong City by investing 50 billion won. Doosan Infracore plans to construct two sites for excavator testing and facilities for wheel loader testing, slant driving test, road driving test, office building and dormitories.
The testing center will be constructed to validate the quality of equipment by reinstating various work environments around the world and, thereby, will meet the needs of consumers from the product development phase.
Dong-yeon Sohn, chief of the corporate R&D division, said, “When the testing center is completed, it will allow for the testing of equipment under the same environments as those in the local field sites, and thus it will enable the Company to secure a higher level of quality.”
