As an 80 ton Front Shovel, the machine has been developed through various preparations and tests after order confirmation in Ukraine last November. This machine is to be delivered to the customer in June and will be used for mineral mining at Quarry worksite.
The Front Shovel is a special equipment tailored for Quarry/Mining worksites that combines a large dump truck with a Fleet and is used primarily for mineral loading and unloading operations.
The equipped Bucket is significantly larger than the normal excavator (the maximum bucket capacity is 5.0m3 which is 30% larger than typical excavator) and the bottom is open with a hydraulic cylinder, allowing operators to easily pour the work pile into the truck cargo without having to tilt the Bucket.
As a result, the Cycle Time, which digs and loads the work into dump truck and returns to work pile, is less than half the equivalent level wheel loader, which makes the machine more efficient per unit hour.
In particular, the shapes of shovel blade and reinforcement types are subdivided according to the characteristics of the working sites, and various Bucket Options are provided in H/S/X Class, allowing customers to choose the optimal Bucket type for their working environment.
Boom and Arm are structured to conduct large capacity Bucket operation and designed to have high enough stiffness so that it can withstand the mining field workload.
Protector Cover is applied to the parts where debris could bounce over the Cylinders and pipes so that the customers can work around the sites without worrying about damage.
So far, 34~50ton Front Shovels have been mainly sold and this is the first 80ton Front Shovel.
