Doosan Infracore’s Chinese subsidiary received the Exemplary Company prize in the shared growth category of the first Shanghai CSR Awards on June 19. The awards have been instated this year by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai to promote CSR among Korean companies operating in China.
At the award ceremony, held at the Changfeng Marriott Hotel in Shanghai, General Manager Du-seok Son from Doosan Infracore’s Chinese subsidiary received the award from Consul General Sang-chan Gu of the Shanghai Consulate General of the Republic of Korea. General Manager Son said, “In the belief that partner firms are part of our production line, we are providing them with assistance in diverse areas,” adding, “The company will do its best to promote CSR, including shared growth.”
Doosan Infracore’s Chinese subsidiary is stepping up its efforts to boost the capacities of its suppliers’ employees by operating the Supplier Development (SD) Academy and a vocational skills school, among other initiatives. The company is also increasing communications with suppliers by holding meetings with them, and holding “voice of suppliers” sessions on a regular basis. Doosan Infracore has been publishing its own CSR report since last year and communicating its CSR activities and achievements to stakeholders in China.
